Chlorella

Chlorella, more commonly known as chlorophyll, is the substance responsible for the green color in plants that accomplishes photosynthesis. Chlorella has been used traditionally to improve bad breath, as well as to reduce the odors of urine, feces, and infected wounds. Chlorophyll has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties. In the past chlorella has also been used to treat gastrointestinal problems, such as constipation, and to stimulate blood cell formation in anemia.
Individual who eat a lot of dark green leafy vegetables receive an ample supply of chlorella for their bodies. Supplements of chlorella, for those who do not eat a lot of dark green vegetables, come as powder, capsules, tablets, and as liquids.
Recommended Dosage
Optimal levels remain unknown. Chlorophyll in the amount of 100 mg two or three times per day can be used to treat bad breath.
